The book revolves around four sisters’ growth in March family. Mr March is away fighting for the country in the war. Mrs. March has four lovely girls: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. The daughters have distinct personalities which have led them to utterly different life. They encountered all sorts of troubles in the process of growing up, Mrs. March herself sets a good model for her daughters, she teaches them how to treat and respect others, how to make friends with others with dignity in spite of poverty, how to deal with self own feeling that we shouldn’t be a slave of our temper, how to love and be loved, and how to live a meaningful life.
Mrs. March is a wise mother, she provides wisdom and advice and guides her daughters down the straight and narrow path toward happy and fulfilling live.
I really like the story, I learned a lot in this book, and I recalled many of memories when I was a little child and in my junior high school. Family is not only a location that we’re brought up, it’s also a lifelong school for us, our parents are our tutors, they teach us how to face the world in our own proper ways. A good atmosphere of family is good for children’ growing up, I wish I would be good mother one day.

不得不说，看完后，发现我能平平安安、健健康康的生活到这么大真的不容易，说起来更多的还是要感谢上天让我身在中国。 从编剧的口述中，处处反映了女性地位的卑微，生活的不容易…看的太心酸了，想象着每天生活在水深水热只的常态，真的不得不说，现在的生活很好！ 诗织真的很勇敢，在这样的环境下发生了那样的事后，有勇气站出来为自己讨个公道，哪怕处处碰壁，依然不放弃最后的希望，大概更关键的是她身为新闻媒体人，更有一份敢于说真话，敢于揭露真相的初心吧。 这种事的发生，肯定不在少数，但是犯罪者却越来越猖狂，很多时候是因为大多数人觉得这件事羞于启齿，就像诗织父母一般，想的是都发生了，已经成为现实了，再怎么深究，也无济于事，不如慢慢把这个事实掩埋起来，就这样随风去了……发生了这种事后，对受害者来说，可能是一生的污点，或者处于一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井绳的境地，可能从此生活在阴影里……强烈觉得应该让其承担后果，将其绳之以法的！ 诗织发生的事给了我个警钟，防人之心还是不可无的、尤其是比较熟悉的人，能避免单独见面还是避免的好，毕竟表面正人君子的样子，而背地里是如何却无法得知。还是要有警觉意识的，哪儿有人会像你父母一般爱你宠你呢。。
只看过电影<活着>，尚未读过Don Weiner的作品，这算是第一部。挺有意思的散文，有人有事有思考，是时候去看看<活着>、<许三观卖血记>、<兄弟>、<第七天>啦！
